Biography:

Charles Chavunduka is the Deputy Dean in the Faculty of Engineering and the Built Environment at the University of Zimbabwe. Dr. Chavunduka is a holder of the following qualifications: PhD in Development Planning (University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA) and, Masters in Business Administration, MSc Regional and Urban Planning, and BSc (Hons.) Geography, all from the University of Zimbabwe. He is a corporate member of both the Zimbabwe Institute of Regional and Urban Planners (ZIRUP) and the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI). After working with the Department of Physical Planning, Ministry of Local Government, Public Works and National Housing; Dr. Chavunduka worked with several international organisations, and was appointed senior lecturer in the Department of Rural and Urban Planning, University of Zimbabwe in 2017. His research interests are land policy and management, land reform and rural development, decentralization and local government.
