Biography:
Dr P Manyere is currently with University of Zimbabwe as a lecturer in the Electrical Department. He teaches a wide range of Electrical and Electronic topics including Electrical Principles, Advanced Electrical Principles, Electromagnetics, Microwave Engineering, Analogue Electronics and Control Systems. He is a member of the IEEE and has vast lecturing experience at other universities and colleges such as University of Johannesburg (B Tech), WUA (MIS), Polytechnic of Namibia (PON) (B Tech), SAST and STT (Staff Development AFZ). Dr Manyere supervises BSc and B Tech students and plans are also at very advanced stage to supervise MSc students. Dr Manyere initially trained as an Aircraft Engineer (AFZ) in the field of Avionics (Aircraft Radio and Telecommunications) and qualified in 1993 as a Class 1 Journeyperson. He has therefore worked as an Aircraft Engineer, Engineering Manager, Training Officer, Research and Development Officer and Officer Commanding Engineering, with the Zimbabwe Defence Forces. Fields of interest for research include Signal Processing with Simulations, Remote Sensing and Autonomous Vehicle Design.
