Biography:

James is a Lecturer in the Department of Social and Community Development, Faculty of Social and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Zimbabwe. He is a holder of a Master of Science Degree in Sociology and Social Anthropology (UZ), Bachelor Honors Degree in Sociology (UZ). James has experience in working both in private sector as well as public sector. James worked with several NGOs which include UNDP, International Rescue Committee (IRC) and Mercy Corps doing several programs on Sustainable livelihoods and rural development. He also worked with Zimbabwe Resilience Building Fund (ZRBF) working on climate change and resilience building doing work around Nyanga District. He has vast experience in doing research work and previously worked with Institute of Chartered Accountants of Zimbabwe (ICAZ), Accountability Lab Zimbabwe, Zimbabwe Leadership Forum (ZIMLEF) and the Ministry of Primary and Secondary education. His research interests are around community development and empowerment, rural and urban development, climate change and resilience building, sustainable livelihoods of vulnerable groups within communities.
