Research Interests:

Influencing use of Heritage-based animal resources in transforming economic conditions of rural communities, Dimensions of Community Development through empowerment, Self-reliance at grassroots levels in rural areas, Civic education, Sustainable conservation and commercialisation of Heritage-based resource (flora and fauna). His PhD research focuses on developing a transformative collaborative small ruminant farming model in Zimbabwe’s rural areas. This approach, he believes, will benefit rural farmers living in marginal areas in significant ways:

Biography:

Lovemore is a Junior Lecturer in the Department of Community and Social Development at the University of Zimbabwe. He joined the Department in September 2022. Lovemore is a skilled Community Education and Lifelong Learning Facilitator who is immersed in issues of Community Development for the upliftment of marginalized people through community dialogues and practices that jointly initiate developmental projects for the enhancement of people’s self-reliance and sustenance. He is currently teaching undergraduate modules in the Bachelor of Science in Community Education and Lifelong Development. Lovemore has the zeal to ensure that young adults are empowered through innovative ideas that cause production of goods and services for economic and community benefits. He has also co-researched and produced some fruit products that were exhibited at the University of Zimbabwe research week from 29 May – 3 May 2023.
