Biography:

Mr Mushohwe is a human and child rights professional with vast experience, both in academia and the child rights and protection sectors. An admitted legal practitioner in Zimbabwe, he has been a lecturer in the University of Zimbabwe Faculty of Law since 2012. To date, he has taught courses such as Law of Private and Public Enterprises; Legal Ethics, Law of Banking and Negotiable Instruments; Banking Law in the Department of Business Studies and Land Law in the Faculty of Engineering. He also has work experience in programming around human rights, child rights, policy and development in and outside Zimbabwe. He has specific research interests in child rights and policies and in that regards, has academically published on child rights related issues, among them on diversion of children in conflict with the law; child justice; child marriages; corporal punishment; and child prostitution among others. He also writes Opinion Pieces on various children’s issues which are published in local newspapers. He holds a blend of qualifications in law, human and child rights, programme management and research methods among others.
