Identity, resistance studies, performance history, subaltern studies, democracy, and cultural studies within theoretical frameworks of post-linearity (post-colonialism), post-feminism, post-nationalism, post-modernism, post-dramatic semiotics, psychoanalysis, narratology, Marxism, Gaze and Afrocentricity. He sees his research mission as to recuperate the African voice in its diversity and plurality.
