Biography:

Professor G Vassilev is a Lecturer in Veterinary Parasitology with the Department of Pathobiology. He joined the University of Zimbabwe in 2005. His area of specialization and research interest is Veterinary Parasitology (Helminthology). Prof Vassilev has 76 Publications in accredited Journals; and has authored and co-authored 8 Veterinary Science Textbooks. He worked for Government Veterinary Services (Zimbabwe) for twelve years as Head of Section, Helminthology. He also worked for thirty years in the respective capacities of Associate Professor, Senior Lecturer and Lecturer at the Higher Institute of Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics, Sofia / Stara Zagora, Bulgaria. He was a District Veterinary Offeicer, Elchovo, Bulgaria, in the early stages of his Veterinary profession.
